Just got a call from a car company saying they will pay me $100 to do a survey, is this a scam?
I got a call from someone who works for the same car company as the one I own. They said they will pay me $100 to go do a survey for them this weekend. The lady said there was no catch, no one will try to sell me anything, I dont have to pay, etc. But I feel there is a catch. Anyone every heard of this or been to one?
Possible. Just don't reveal any personal info when you show up, except name. No SSN, no Driver's license. They already got your phone number, and presumably address. Worst case: you wasted a day.

it’s not like you’re buying anything, so i’m assuming that it’s not.
maybe they need people to take the survey, but not many have and they are willing to pay a lot for more answers.
you should look it up online, though.
i once took a health survey, and i got $30
- most legit ones don’t require your name, address, etc.
ask if you can review the survey before taking it.

It could be legitimate market research. Usually, that sort of thing involves you making a trip over to their facility for an interview. It’s not a quick thing, could take most of the day, but $100 is about right. Ask them where their office is located. If there is no office, or it’s too far for you to drive to, or if they want to come to your house, I’d say forget it.

It could be a scam, the best way to find out is do a google search on the company name and also another search on their name with the word review included so that you can come up with results of others who have posted their experiences with this company online, another thing you can do is visit the BBB online and do a business search on them. However, if you would like to get paid for taking legitimate online surveys then… You are in luck, I take paid surveys everyday and have become very good at it, so I can speak for myself when I say it has been very rewarding, and I say you are in luck because, I have done a ton of research on market research companies, I searched each one individually before joining, it was very time consuming but worth the time spent. I have listed tips and information which will prove very useful to you, even if you should not decide to join the panels on my list.
